We first chose the industry of home health care services. Being able to watch health and fitness at home is the problem we came across under this industry.
To begin research for this project idea we wanted to first understand peoples awareness to health, nutrition and exercise.
We started with analyzing:
- the type of people that this solution would be important to
- objects that follow the industries services
- the environment for which these problems occur
- the communication methods people use to learn about exercise, health and nutrition
- the services currently offered for this industry
Some of the insights we got from this were:
- majority of people are associated with this industry unless they choose to not be apart of it
- exercise machines, healthy foods, statistics is usually what keeps people motivated to be healthy and active
- the way the environment is decorated around you is what keeps people exercising, planning doctors visits and eating healthy
- social interaction and communication is important to learn about new trends, new knowledge within this industry and keep accountable to be active with this lifestyle
- online websites and apps are accessible for users who want to encourage their health lifestyle with recipes, meal plans, exercises, and check ups
The problem we decided to focus on is how to encourage communication with doctors and nutritionists.

When creating this user flow the main focus was for the user to be able to get an accurate meal plan from a nutritionist/ doctor that they trust. Here is the order at which this action would take place:
